Baby blanket crochet pattern with a teddy bear – Teddy Love

Teddy Love is a digital crochet pattern and tutorial for a baby blanket with a teddy bear motif.

It is a gender neutral baby blanket, and you can customize it by choosing your own yarn color combination.

WHAT IS INCLUDED

MATERIALS AND TOOLS YOU WILL NEED

• Crochet hook – 7 mm
• Scissors
• Tapestry needle (size 16)
• Yarn – Alize Baby Softy (2 strands held together)

Note:
– This pattern is made with bulky yarn in mind – 7 wpi. Therefore, to work with this pattern, you can either use a single strand of yarn, if the yarn itself is bulky, or you can hold two strands of any thinner yarn, such as Alize Baby Softy (14 wpi), as long as those two strings give 7 wpi.

– Some of Teddy bear’s facial details are NOT a part of the blanket crochet pattern due to their size in comparison to the size of the blanket stitches. You will need to crochet them separately, and sew them onto the surface of the blanket afterwards.

SKILLS YOU SHOULD HAVE

Crochet skill level required: Intermediate

This pattern is ***not suitable for an absolute beginner***, as instructions provided do not explain how to crochet. Your crochet skills should be at an intermediate level, due to frequent yarn color changing using crochet color intarsia technique.

You should already be comfortable with the following crochet stitches (US crochet terms):
– Slip knot
– Chain
– Turning chain
– Lifting loop/chain
– Single crochet
– 2 single crochet increase
– 3 single crochet increase
– Slip stitch
– Magic ring
