Here is one quick and easy crochet project good for creatives of all skill levels, including beginners. Let’s crochet fingerless mittens together.
Watch the video below to learn how to crochet fingerless mittens on your own in less than a day.

There is a very simple twist to the basic single crochet stitch that will the interesting and textured look to your mittens.
Materials and tools you will need:
- Yarn – I used Superlana Alize Midi
- Crochet hook – I used crochet hook size 4 mm
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors/snips
Let’s get to work!
Start by making a cuff. Crochet the cuff in rows, work in back loops only, and make it as long as neccessary to comfortably wrap it around your wrist.
As soon you achieve this length, start crocheting the main portion of a mitten. Continue to work in rows, only this time along the long side of the cuff. The video demonstration will show you the stitch combination for the mitten. The total length of your glove depends on the size of your hand, as well as your preferences.
When the crochet is done, the only thing left to do is to stitch together the side edges of your glove. Use a tapestry needle to join the edges together, and make sure, as you are sewing, to leave a portion of this seam unstitched. This opening will serve as a slit for your thumb.

To derermine the exact position and length of the thumb slit, try on your mitten as you are sewing the edges together. Its length and position should be custom to your hand.
Finally, weave in yarn ends.
Repeat the steps for the other mitten as well.
That’s it!
xoxo
